THE STORY – from zero to the top
It all began with the entrepreneurial and engineering genius of Giancarlo Corbelli, after seeing at a Worldwide off-shore race, decided to turn EDWEISS ITALIA (in those days a leader in the production of tanks, fairings and accessories for motorbikes) in a nautical company.
The company initially only worked for third parties, but in Corbelli’s mind an idea continued to grow to do something of his own, to bring new nautical innovations that he had already achieved in motorbikes.
In 1982, Corbelli produced his first boat, that upon its launch demonstrated its many qualities, the speedboat reached speeds of 50 knots, not enough for Corbelli, that after a month of modifications was able to improve by another 10 knots.
From there, Power Marine entered into a challenge without end with the tachometer and the laws of physics.
Innovations and research become the real aims of the company and as a result after 4 years the choice to enter into the world of racing.
After the first boat, of 7 meters, the company built a 15 and a 18 meter. The boats travel fast and are extremely reliable, they are beautiful and pleasing to the eye, no-one could ask for more.
In less than 10 years the company produces more than 300 pleasure boats and self finances 15 competition models.
The growth of the company is exponential and fully reflects its founder, looking forward to the future but linked to past values.
It is this company vision that is the point of connection, that in 2012, leads to the actual partnership with Cantiere Navale Vittoria and Fast Service. The former, company leader in the construction of working and military boats and the latter in the planning of the aforementioned.
The close collaboration between the three in only two years has created two prototypes of super performance patrol boats THE INTERCEPTOR 49 AND THE INTERCEPTOR 65.
The great qualities of the former were noticed by the Coast Guard of Kuwait who included the boats in a shortlist for tenders.
The latter (INTERCEPTOR 65) on the other hand, in the competition phase, will demonstrate its qualities before the end of summer 2014, attempting to beat the world record voyage Venice – Monte Carlo.
